Pros

Certain departments are great to work in. The organization is generally supportive of work-life balance for employees. The benefits are OK - not bad based on the size of the company but they could be a lot better. Lots of chances to learn and grow but few career ladders to grow into for employees. If you're not in the executive team little is expected.

Cons

Organization rarely if ever will promote from within; however they have no dilemmas seeking "new blood." The executive team definitely has an "us and them" mentality which has little usefulness in a small organization. Get your money when you get hired because getting a raise after you've proven good performance is a fight. 18 months until a performance review and a performance review is "you get a 3% raise," or not.

Pros

The people that work there are great! It's a team atmosphere and a fun office environment. Birthday parties, holiday pot lucks, summer bbq's, and Friday afternoon dart gun fights were all great! Also, I cannot say enough good things about the owners. They are great guys. They gave me my career start and believed in me enough to promote me not once but twice in two years. I also got 4 raises in two and a half years. Management is very approachable and willing to listen to their employees. Culture changed a lot while I was there, for the better.

Cons

Turnover is high but that is mostly due to the stress of the industry. Could not leave work at work. Had to be on call to send vendors out to fix properties. Getting calls at 3am on a week night is the worst (that is only specific to maintenance department). No matter what department you're in, you'll probably have to drive across town to a property at some point.
