Pros

Very competitive compensation packages (base salaries, starting and yearly bonuses/bonus multipliers) attract tons of post-MBA and undergraduate talent with the promise of great financial stability. The international nature of the company paired with its willingness and enthusiasm to sponsor international talent means an incredibly diverse pool of employees. In any given meeting you will be the only person from your country in the room, with people who have completely disparate backgrounds, cultures, and languages.

Cons

SHORT-TERM MINDSET: At all levels brand, sales, supply are always thinking of how to meet their yearly bonuses- completely fair, but it means that brand-building long-term investments are rarely made. Brand managers consistently make decisions for short-term gains that negatively impact long-term growth. WORK-LIFE BALANCE: Most (though not all) teams are under-staffed, with people doing the work of 2 or more people; in some cases empty positions are left open for months (or left un-filled), as the company looks to save on costs. This means things get lost in the cracks and talented smart people are burned out. DISRESPECTFUL: RB says that its people are "direct," but often this is conflated with being rude and disrespectful. Cursing, short tempers, and sometimes blow-ups, are the norm. There is little concern for others. ANTI-COLLABORATIVE: Cross-functional team collaboration is ESSENTIAL for this kind of company, but due to the attitudes (see above) cross-functional team members often approach each other as adversaries rather than allies. Unproductive and de-motivating. Overall RB is a negative environment where many of its (smart, talented, creative) staff are demoralized and quickly burned out- it's not a good thing when the norm is for people in the company to say that it is "terrible," "awful," etc. and are building or trying to enact their escape.

Pros

The receptionist is a great guy. Bathroom stalls have doors.

Cons

If you want to feel like a number, deal with a lot of domestic and global politics, work with people from Europe and Asia who are scared out of their mind and work like crazy stuck with work visas over their heads, be miserable, and work your butt off so stakeholders can make a lot of money and you can enjoy complaining about no quality of life outside of work, this is the place for you!!! And they have Thirsty Thursdays once a month, so there's that.
