Pros

This place is jam packed with technical people who are responsible for entire projects all in all (For eg. PCP). The technicality with which they work is mind boggling and there is a lot of stuff you can learn by just reading their updates on the cases and mail threads. (Talking from a support perspective) Peer-to-peer feedback and on-desk collaboration is what I love about Red Hat. People are always ready to help you out and get the issues resolved. Being a ex-Red Hatter it was a pleasure for me to work in one of the most core components of LINUX with one of the most awesome people in one of most reputed organizations all over the globe Red Hat, Inc.

Cons

The work-life balance is a little bit of a problem for people working in technical Support. Shifts put a impact on your health. Migrating between the teams is not easy as competition is very high. And you have to really prove yourself.
