Pros

Red Hat reflects what Jim wrote in his book, open collaboration, bottom-up sourcing of ideas, continuous discussion and fast pace innovation.

Cons

Horizontal organisations can be a struggle for people coming from traditional environments. A high level of autonomy is required at all levels but especially outside engineering.
