Pros

Casual work environment, fun, friendly, open environment, lots of windows, a BBall court and a gym. All in all, a very comfortable place to work.

Cons

Red Ventures is not for everyone. You should know what you're getting yourself into before you apply, really for any position. It is a performance based culture, meaning that unless you are a top performer, you pretty much are a second class citizen. Its honestly super tough to stand out when above average is standard, so going above and beyond still nets you an average rating. That said, if you perform well, they will treat you very well. if you're just doing ok, you're doing terribly. The hours are long, and weekends are pretty standard as a Developer, but people seem to love doing it, or don't complain about it. You will love working there if you are successful, but if you slip at all, then they pretty much treat you like you're nothing. The pay is "competitive" but over all, you will get paid less than you could make anywhere else; the trade off for having a basketball court, a gym, and a cafeteria full of subsidized food. Most employees feel underpaid.

Pros

flexibility, free trip, office building is cool. there's generally a laid back atmosphere and co-workers and peers are in good humor and have a positive attitude. There's good lunch options nearby. gym on campus.

Cons

The work is very bland and cookie-cutter. It's direct marketing, after all. You work very fast and cut corners to get things done as quickly as possible. Constantly changing priorities and no project management create an impossible work environment. As a designer you're at the bottom of the work hierarchy, so basically anyone in the company can come to your desk and give you work, and they do. It's very stressful and the pay is lower than other companies in the area. It's a stepping-stone job.

Pros

Team members want to do great work and foster collaboration and support across functions.

Cons

Very poor leadership, and no sustainable future. HR moves poor and even abusive managers around and disrupt teams rather than mentor them to be better managers or let them go. Simultaneously, cuts happen to great team members due to the continual decline of the company's financial state which has created a very imbalanced, top heavy, toxic environment. The amount of manipulation from management and HR I have witnessed is unsettling. Do not make the mistake of joining this company unless you are desperate for a paycheck.
