Pros

You can make somewhat decent money if your selling the right product. Benefits are BCBS so that's good. The cafeteria is nice and good discounts. Easy to get the job if your desperate that why there are so many recent graduates who work here

Cons

They are really inflexible with all employees. They ask for OT but never give PTO when needed. The management are a bunch of kids that just managed to kiss the right butts. It's a High School hierarchy. They basically don't care at all about the sales force. Chew em up and spit them out. The compensation scale has gone down drastically in last 12 months while the qualifiers have gone up. They only get high employee ratings because the make your take the survey online from your desk and everyone knows they have the ability to figure out who's bad mouthing them Fear of losing your job is the only motivation the sales force has. I've seen 9 out of the original members of my team leave most by firing in the yr. I've been here. Cant wait till I can tell them to shove it.

Pros

Casual work environment, fun, friendly, open environment, lots of windows, a BBall court and a gym. All in all, a very comfortable place to work.

Cons

Red Ventures is not for everyone. You should know what you're getting yourself into before you apply, really for any position. It is a performance based culture, meaning that unless you are a top performer, you pretty much are a second class citizen. Its honestly super tough to stand out when above average is standard, so going above and beyond still nets you an average rating. That said, if you perform well, they will treat you very well. if you're just doing ok, you're doing terribly. The hours are long, and weekends are pretty standard as a Developer, but people seem to love doing it, or don't complain about it. You will love working there if you are successful, but if you slip at all, then they pretty much treat you like you're nothing. The pay is "competitive" but over all, you will get paid less than you could make anywhere else; the trade off for having a basketball court, a gym, and a cafeteria full of subsidized food. Most employees feel underpaid.
