Inconsistent Experiences, Good Learning Opportunities
Pros
RV is a great place to enhance your tech skills - you cross lines between roles a lot, so you get to experience backend/data/dev ops regularly. With that comes with a lot of responsibility and technical independence. It also has really great C-level leadership that has a positive outlook for the company and speaks to all of the employees to make them feel welcome/accepted.
Cons
The experiences across the different teams at RV vary drastically - some teams are really great, and other teams can be extremely toxic. Middle management does not do a good job of syncing up with RV's leadership to propagate the company's culture across teams. Pay is also nowhere near market value - there are no incentives/bonuses/stock options for anyone under VP levels, and the base salaries come nowhere close to what other companies are willing to pay. This place is not a start-up and needs to start paying employees accordingly.
