Pros

Flexible schedule, work when you want

Cons

AA's are not compensated for mileage, so there's not much incentive to pick up a tour in an area not near your work or home. Per-event compensation in "alternative markets" is low and does not help incentivize lack of mileage pay. Generally no payment for appointment cancellations, even though there's a lot of work we have to do behind the scenes to schedule and prepare for the appointment.

Pros

Could set your own schedule. Get paid by each event, not based on commission. A good learning process for new agent.

Cons

Not much room to grow. No benefit at all. Less appreciation for the job you have done. Pay check depending on how many events you have done. Get paid by little if market is slow.
