Pros

Great people, great culture. Company really does strive to take care of their employees, which is saying something. Products actually work and solve real problems.

Cons

Working from a remote office has its difficulties.

Pros

Great colleagues - the most talented and able group of software engineers I've ever worked with. Great atmosphere - very friendly place to work; I made some great friends while I was there. Free breakfast and lunches. Relaxed work environment. Plenty of additional benefits - team days out, opportunities to attend conferences, etc.

Cons

Endless reorganisations and new initiatives in an attempt to focus the company and return to growth. Not much in the way of career progression. Management out of touch with the rest of the company (results from a recent company survey last year showed two groups: happy managers and discontent workers). Weak business vision. If only Redgate knew what to do with all its talented people, it could be great again. HR appear to having an appetite for firing.

Pros

- The people! It's a company full of bright, talented, passionate people who despite their brilliance do not have egos, and are always helpful, friendly, and most importantantly, open to the thoughts and ideas of others. People really go out of their way to help others to succeed. - A unique company culture that encourages honesty and transparency. They may not always get it right, and they don't pretend to. The company is human. - The learning environment. Again, this mostly comes down to the people who are generally always eager to learn and to share that knowledge with others. Plus great managers and a people team who genuinely care about getting the best from people. With the right commitment and approach, you'll not only have the opportunity to develop and grow your career, but to grow yourself as a person too. - The office environment and perks. Although the office is situated on the Business Park, the building itself is very bright and the office space open, spacious and colourful. The company really goes out of its way to make people feel comfortable at work. The perks are great - lots of team outings, an amazing free breakfast and lunch, and a kitchen area that makes you feel at home with coffee machines and a whole array of tea selections! - What sounds like a very exciting year ahead!

Cons

- Hard place to leave! - Had a tough year, but seem to be coming out the other side. Leadership seem clearer on where they're going, giving people the time and opportunity to show what they can really do. - Need more diversity. Not through lack of trying, but needs more people with differing viewpoints and backgrounds to push the boundaries. - Could be seen to be more experimental with with remote/home/flex-working.
