Pros

I have worked at Redwood since well before it was called Redwood. The company has lived up to the promises it had made me from the first day: if you work hard and you want to build something, you can dictate your career path. That held true when I started in operations then took on implementations and account management. I've held probably 9 or 10 different titles since starting almost 8 years ago and manage a team entirely unrelated to the function I worked when I started. The culture is entirely unique. I've seen reviews that claim an "insider" culture. My experience has been far from that. For me it seems very simple to gain recognition - it's a culture that rewards achievement, not tenure. Nobody here hands you anything, it's all earned. Work hard and produce and the company rewards the effort 10 out of 10 times.

Cons

Cons would be similar to the pros - just depends who you are. The company has historically run very lean - which means when an unusually large wave of work comes through, we really have to roll up our sleeves. Most of the people here embrace the challenge and get through it as a team - but the company doesn't have much patience for those who can't (or won't) rise to the occasion. For me, that's a good thing since it means I'm surrounded by some really great people - but for others who may thrive in more of a "corporate" structure it can be a tough ride.

Pros

I've been at Redwood about 14 months in the IT department. The company is growing rapidly, undergoing change, and there's opportunity to grow with it. The work that we're executing is fascinating, getting to utilize a cutting edge tech stack to deliver products/services I can stand behind. Personally, I've moved from a Jr title to a Lead in this time. Redwood leadership appreciates hard work, which is motivating. Also have some great friends I've made along the way.

Cons

There's a lot of change ongoing as a result of acquisitions and mergers. It takes patience to wait for decisions to be made since there's a lot of action. Trending in the right direction, certainly no lack of excitement.
