Pros

get to watch free movies for you and a friend, young managers that can sometimes be cool

Cons

low pay, constantly dealing with customers complaining about prices, they occasionally would go back and look at video recordings to write people up for things like not holding up a pizza box to sell to customers

Pros

Fun environment. The weekends are fast-paced and the weekdays are relaxed. It's nice to have a variety of job duties. One days you'll be working concessions and essentially be doing a fast food job. The next day you'll be cleaning our theaters after the showing and making sure the movies are playing right. If you need days off they make it really easy to get them, so long as it's not a holiday.

Cons

It's a really juvenile job. This isn't all bad, but it DOES mean you get some coworkers who are still in highscool, and act like it. One day it was my responsibility to make sure the lobby was clean, and this one guy who works there, but just finished up his shift, came up to me, dropped some popcorn and proceeded to grind it into the carpet. This is undeniably a unique situation and I'm not going to say it happens all the time, I'm just saying that's the general work environment.

Pros

This was my first job and I say once you get it do not lose your chances with this company. for a minimum wage job this is one of the better (much better than fast food or retail) obviously free movies are great and you meet a lot of great people. I worked my way up to full time management and left for a higher paying job and honestly I wish I didn't and I wish I could go back to working for this company. very flexible schedule. if you do your job and appreciate that this is one of the better ones you will be successful. also they have really good benefits.

Cons

pay isn't great, bigger theaters can offer higher pay so if you transfer everyone around you could be making more than you. not alot of room for advancement it took 3 years to become a full time manager and I would have loved to become a lead assistant and go to REU but my only way to do so would have been to relocate which I didn't get paid enough to make a move.
