Pros

- The hiring process was very quick and easy. I had one phone screening and one in person interview and then was offered the positions shortly thereafter. - The insurance benefits (medical, dental, vision) are pretty good and fairly affordable overall (although the poor pay does change the 'affordability' of the benefits).

Cons

I would not recommend this job to anyone who isn't desperate for work. I'm paid $17 an hour to run an ENTIRE center all by myself. During the 8 months I have worked here I have constantly been given conflicting information and guidance from different levels of management. My direct supervisor will tell me one thing, that contradicts the formal training I received (also the formal training is a joke and does NOT prepare you for the job AT ALL), which will then be contradicted by a third directive when I reach out for clarification. You will not be trained on how to do this job before they throw you into the deep end, and when/if you ask for more information or training - about 70%-80% of the time what you'll get in response is "there's no training for that, you just have to, "learn as you go" or something along those lines. The turnover for the Community Associate position is so bad that multiple centers in my area have had to be staffed by temp agency workers for weeks to months at a time. As the working environment is so bad that most people will walk-out or quit without notice.

Pros

They finally started paying attention to women who had knowledge versus the good old boy network - and giving the right people a few raises and promotions

Cons

Still, too many long-term employees (mostly female) taking what they "think" they deserve in pay and treatment. It's improved the last 5 years, but it took them a long time and they lost a lot of really stellar folks. Good thing is they left and found better pay, and better acknowledgement. Still too many of the men in higher positions, leaving their teams
