Pros

* Flexible scheduling that can offer a good degree of autonomy in structuring your day-to-day visits * Exposure to a wide variety of patients and home health cases across different settings in Berks County * Independent field work for clinicians who prefer minimal in-office requirements

Cons

* Driving demands are often excessive and inefficient, with large geographic coverage areas that are not always well clustered, making productivity feel unnecessarily difficult to maintain * Limited flexibility in case assignments, even when routes are clearly inefficient or impact daily workload significantly * Little to no meaningful internal promotion pathway, with leadership roles rarely filled from within the clinical staff * Compensation growth is minimal, with raises not consistently reflecting workload, experience, or performance * Starting PTO accrual is very low compared to industry standards * No 401(k) employer match, which is a notable drawback for long-term retention and benefits competitiveness * Management approach can feel rigid, with limited willingness to adjust quotas or operational expectations despite clinician feedback and field realities

Occupational Therapist New Grad

Pros

This was my first job out of college as an Occupational Therapist. I was met with welcoming management who were very flexible and open to ramping my schedule up as I started, so I was able to work into a full caseload with minimal stress. I had access to mentorship by my coworkers as well as management that were always willing to assist in any questions I needed answered. Orientation allowed me to see mock patients in order to work through a documentation system I had never used before. As a new grad this company/job was a great choice for me to understand different documentation systems, insurances, diagnoses, and get my first ever experience of being an official Occupational Therapist. The thing I loved most about my job was the autonomy that I had throughout the day. I was able to manage my own caseload, create my own schedule, and develop all aspects of the patients plan of care. The residents in both of the facilities I worked at were amazing people that I was fortunate enough to interact with on a daily basis regardless if I was working with them or not. Both of the communities I worked at were beautiful places of employment with lots of opportunities to incorporate the environment into treatment sessions. Overall, as a new grad this job was a very good first experience with amazing support from my coworkers and management team.

Cons

Slower paced environment with a smaller variety of diagnoses and complexity

Pros

Working part time, you have the flexibility to move your days/times around within the week to foster work/life balance as needed. Office staff is highly responsive throughout the work day to answer questions!

Cons

The hardest part of the job is being the only therapist in a building which is difficulty when a patient could benefit from collaboration with a colleague.

Your feedback is appreciated. So happy that you are enjoying the flexibility of your schedule. I do understand the challenge that being a community without an additional support from another colleague (same or different discipline) can be a unique challenge. Thank you for your honest input to our company. We appreciate you and all you do for the patients we serve.
