Pros

They really care about serving others internally and externally. They launched a company wide program to uplift service to all and to make it a primary focus. They treat us service staff well year round but go out of their way for service week every September where the service team is wined and dined at all offices. Community service is a big focus as well. I feel like my opinion matters and management cares about doing right by everyone. The sales team have an annual meeting in Las Vegas and for the top producers (and top 2 service staff) there is an annual all paid expense trip to an exotic location!! The social committee at most offices keep the positive atmosphere going year round and aim to keep a high morale. Management is flexible in giving work from home options. It feels like family to me.

Cons

Sometimes communication falls to the side and misunderstandings occur that could have been avoided. Sometimes departments feel a little segregated and not so cohesive.

Thanks for taking the time to write this great feedback. We're very proud of the hard work, expertise and passion that all of our service team members bring to work every day. We're trying hard to keep the lines of communication open and to be as transparent as possible. Please share any specific concerns or questions you have with your supervisor and/or any member of the leadership team. Also, the quarterly employee satisfaction survey is a great way to communicate any concerns you may have. Thanks again!

Thanks for providing feedback. A response from our President, Ed Page: We invest heavily in the company and have all of the resources to compete against any firm. In particular we have invested heavily in our IT team over the past 3 years. Most firms in insurance are private equity backed, including Alliant, HUB, USI, EPIC, Assured Partners, Risk Strategies, Acrisure, Broadstreet, Integro, to name a few. We have plenty of capital to invest in the company and do innovative events such as Service Team Appreciation Week to celebrate and invest in our support staff. Please let me know if you'd like to discuss further. Best, Ed

Thanks for writing this review. we appreciate the feedback. A response, from Ed Page, our President: In 2013, a new senior management team lead by Joe Tatum and myself started taking the company in a positive direction. A strategic 3-5 year plan was a key part of that direction and everyone at Ascension has done a great job of executing that plan. Our first priority has always been organic growth (growth excluding acquisitions) and we have had tremendous success over the last three years. One thing that stands out was improving sales process and results (which have always fed off of our superior service from our service team). We do also believe in growth by acquisition and have been quite pleased with the people/companies that we have brought on board. Our number one criteria when evaluating a person/company is whether they are a cultural fit to the great things that we are trying to do here. We absolutely believe in being long term players and not playing for the short term. That's also why we've invested milliions of dollars in long term strategic assets such as technology, one of the world’s largest and best loss control departments, and a superior claims management department, to name a few. Best, Ed
