Pros

RI spent 2013 and early 2014 doing some soul searching, with a very inclusive process soliciting information from all staff worldwide, which culminated in both the strategic plan and an excellent new CEO. They were always open to innovative ideas, they trust their employees and they hire good people. Their SMT is excellent and there is a concerted, whole organization supported push for program quality and learning.

Cons

Because of the competitive landscape of humanitarian response - funding is difficult. RI has to work twice as hard to win opportunities for funding to provide essential humanitarian services around the world. They need an infusion of cash from a private donor to start funding emergency response.

Pros

Recent college graduates can actually get hired with an International Development organization and don't need their masters.

Cons

The salaries are very low, turnover is very high, the behavior of management resembles that of the investment banking world moreso than a non profit, in that employees have been reduced to tears.

Pros

Pretty decent salery and benefits that is paid timely

Cons

Very nepotistic. The Security is run by the CEO's buddy, a Consultant , who was literally micromanaging everything and everybody, giving absolutely nutzoid advices and pretending to be a professional. At the same time, always trying to bring his own friends to fill the positions . He was also a very well-known bad-mouther and gossiper.
