The leaders there were too inept at what they're doing.

Pros

Good benefits but beware, the benefits that look too generous were intended to force people to stay because they were too expensive to pay back.

Cons

People in the higher ranks were manipulative and either delusional or deceptive; this becomes increasingly clear the more time you spend time there, but it does not necessarily become clearer who is malicious and who actually somehow believes what they're saying. They were about as inept as they can be, and they were showing it every day in the office.

Underpaid

Pros

Once you get over certain hurdles and a few jumps in the road, they tend to take care of you extremely well in the long run.

Cons

All the good employees were underpaid. The salary that they paying us was not enough for the effort that we were giving and the skills and talents that we were contributing. And those who were unqualified, incompetent, and lazy, but were friends with the people on top, gets all the good stuff and gets paid way even higher than us.

Exciting, Fast-Paced Start-up with Unlimited Growth

Pros

Honestly, the negativity in a lot of these reviews is just extremely frustrating and flat out false. The amount of opportunity at Remine is unheard of. The people here are warm, smart and just overall great people. The C-Suite and management team gives us the opportunity to take something and run with it. There is no red-tape, and you get to take on so much responsibility that you would not be able to elsewhere. Those who say there is no career growth here is honestly not ambitious enough. No, there is not a map of what comes next with your position but that is what is exciting about it. You are able to find whats best for your career and make moves. Yes, there was a layoff and that was a hard time...but its not like Remine is the only company to ever have a layoff. The management team is working extremely hard to make sure that both the company and the employees are thriving. Free lunch, Unlimited PTO (and no, thats not a marketing plot), and 100% paid health insurance are just the basics of the benefits. Our CEO literally hand makes and pours coffee for employees in the AM... have you ever heard of that? The CTO is extremely passionate about his employees and genuinely cares about what you have to say. And finally the culture of the company is warm. We have happy hours, game nights, baseball games etc. Just about any sort of culture event i've seen people ask for has happened.

Cons

Lots of work: Everyone knows what they are getting into when then come on-board. Management is transparent that this is not a 9-5 job. Typical Start-Up Pains: Not necessarily a con, but definitely worth noting. Working at a startup is a different beast. Remine moves quick, so you have to be in-touch if you want to keep up. We are working on communication and process, but everyone recognizes that it still needs some TLC.
