      Remitly: Continuously Improving!

      Pros

      Remitly takes it's Cultural Values to heart. One example that I see every day is "Continuously Improving": improving the product for our customers, improving the business, improving our technical systems and operational excellence, and striving to learn and grow as individuals. The opportunities feel extremely open, and this is a culture where—if you're willing to—you're always able to be part of the solution. Overall it's a very passionate, hard-working environment—we believe in our mission of supporting migrants around the world and believe in the future of the business.

      Cons

      It's a very fast-paced environment. Every quarter tends to present new opportunities and also new problems to solve. While exciting, this can also be tiring.

      Great people working on a meaningful problem

      Cons

      The open office can be a cultural way to encourage people to talk to each other to solve problems immediately, but it is by its very nature far more distracting.

      Thanks for sharing your feedback! Glad you are tackling interesting problems (certainly no shortage of those :) and that you are growing and developing. I really appreciate the feedback on our open office as well. We love this layout for lots of reasons but also understand it can be distracting so we'll continue to invest in ways to make it soundproof, make sure we have the right density levels, and ensure there are also quiet rooms where folks can work when they need to focus. Really glad you're part of the team!

      Great place to learn, work and have fun

      Pros

      Strong culture. Great team and collaboration. Lots of challenging and interesting problems and opportunities. Well run stable business unlike most startups you hear of.

      Cons

      No 401k or cash bonuses.
