Pros

There's great work-life balance at Remitly. The work is rewarding and engaging, but around 5pm the work day ends. And nobody really works on weekends. Also, great opportunities to learn and grow. Love the job.

Cons

The open office can be a cultural way to encourage people to talk to each other to solve problems immediately, but it is by its very nature far more distracting.

I really appreciate the feedback on our open office as well. We love this layout for lots of reasons but also understand it can be distracting so we'll continue to invest in ways to make it soundproof, make sure we have the right density levels, and ensure there are also quiet rooms where folks can work when they need to focus.
