I've only been here a few short months, but the people at Renaissance are some of the most dedicated, intellectual, and caring team members I've had the good fortune to work with. In my 20 year career, I have never worked in an environment where everyone was dedicated to the core philosophies of the company. I'm surrounded by passionate, hard working people and that makes every day a joy to come to work. Communication channels are plentiful and open. True concern over continuously improving our day to day operation is evident. A clear strategic focus gives meaning to what we do every day. For the first time, I'm working in a place where management truly cares and where I know my efforts have impact. This is an amazing company with so much future potential...I'm just happy to be here!

Cons

The only con I can nitpick over is the age of some of our computer hardware. We have a lot of older LCD screens, a lack of desktop docks for our laptops, and quite a few hand-me-downs for new employees. I understand the budgetary reasons for this, but productivity can be increased when we stop fighting with older equipment. Again, this is nitpicking as we do have the tools to do our jobs...I'd just like to see them updated!

The best way to request a new computer is to talk to your manager about the tools you need to be successful and productive in your work. I will look into this as well, based on your feedback. Also, I find myself wondering if you have ever taught leadership courses! Your advice is so spot-on – we can never rest on our laurels. The competition out there is getting tougher every day.
