Pros

Coworkers were awesome, managers were helpful, remote work, building rapport with clients was nice.

Cons

Unclear organizational goals/direction, leadership is heavily embracing and gambling on an AI that is not ready to assist. Beginning in 2025 there have been quarterly layoffs due to “uncertainty in the market” yet touting revenue growth to shareholders. Also, beware if you are applying as they can rescind your offer it it falls during one of the many layoff instances through out the year (I went through an internal interview process, layed off, contacted by recruiting that I was offered the job, 2 weeks go by and they state they didn’t know there was layoffs so hiring freeze). Overall very unorganized right now. Do not be fooled by the positive LinkedIn posts for Renaissance Learning, it is a sinking ship that was once nice to work for.

Pros

Working from home and liberal social values

Cons

Constant layoffs and being good at your job is not a safeguard! Pay is low, comparing to jobs in similar industries. Their Customer Support used to be top-notch, but now they hire overseas workers and don't even allow them the access or resources to do the job so they're basically useless. Customers and on-shore employees suffer for this!

Pros

Pay and benefits, the people are nice

Cons

Renaissance has immense potential, but its success is hindered by its leadership team, particularly in sales and enablement. They consistently dismiss talented individuals and burden others with increased workloads without a clear strategy for acquiring companies. The salesforce rollout was disastrous, and the data is so poor. They consistently put Band-Aids on major issues, and if someone is not doing their job, they simply move them to another department without accountability.
