Pros

I liked the people I worked with. They were extremely patient and granted leave when I was dealing with a medical problem covered by ADA.

Cons

Before at a smaller company, I got to do end-to-end sales. Very different from SDR. Because there were so many people above me, I only got to work on the smallest piece and the roles outside of mine were kind of a mystery.

Pros

I worked for Renaissance for over a decade, and during that time, the company has undergone significant changes. The people there are fantastic to work with, but since COVID-19, the shift to a fully remote office has made it challenging to build connections with colleagues. While the working hours are reasonable, time off is primarily limited to the summer holidays. The commission was good for several years, providing a substantial boost to earnings; however, the basic salary is relatively low, so when the commission is poor, it has a significant impact on overall earnings.

Cons

The management at Renaissance has been a significant downside of the job. They are highly micromanaging, holding multiple daily meetings to scrutinise call stats and calls made, treating employees more like children than professionals. This behavior has intensified as the company has failed to meet targets for several consecutive years. Loyalty is not valued; you are only appreciated if you consistently exceed targets. Despite exceeding targets for many years, once my performance dipped—along with the company's overall performance—their attitude towards me changed dramatically. Additionally, there have been frequent changes in upper management, contributing to instability. If you are considering working for Renaissance, be prepared for micromanagement, a low base salary, and unrealistic targets. No oppourtunity for progression either.
