middle management is very hard to work with they want you to do the impossible; if you fail, that's your fault, but if you succeed, that's the new baseline often needing to work under intense time pressure, sometimes for weeks cutting corners costs everyone time, and in the end, ends up being a lot more expensive for the company. but we keep doing it anyways IT and lab instrumentation is neglected, internal IT support is incompetent there's very little communication and inter-operation between departments
