A great company to work for MCUs

but all other product strategies failed. Acquisitions of Intersil , IDT, Dialog were failures for Automotive. Were on track till these acquisitions. Post acquisitions none of the products /IPs really helped Renesas.also all heavyweights from these acquired companies were given free hand and they never knew company legacy. Completely impacted product portfolio and this is resulting in today's downfall in sales. No way Renesas can come back in next 6-8 quarters. CEO focused on Americanisation of Japanese company. A good strategy but no one knows why he used heavyweights from acquired companies. Anyways I enjoyed my work at Renesas and never wanted to leave. India org is messy with lot of HR rules still under development.

Program management, Product engineering, Foundry Engineering are under management by a Chi director, she/he directs the direction on most of topics and the directions are misleading the teams and other engineering groups and even top executives in Japan to where she/he would like to guide to and the guidance is not based on solid evidence or professional judgement. Some directions or to blame the problems to other engineering groups without justifying reasons. She/her favors employees from CN although I’m unfortunately an unfavored Chin. She/he likes to catch attention and disguise she is direction the right way but other engineering group leaders do not buy that. She/he laid off on the newer employees at the time before the RSU will be exercised, so another cost reduction achieved. November is the RSU exercise date, so make sure it will be in your compensation and guaranteed if any arbitration termination or laid off on you. She/he used to request for immediate greenlight of supplier manufacturing in China fab which is obviously a strong favor for her org.
