      Pros

      The vacation benefits are fairly decent. 401k is Ok. Salary however, is below industry average.

      Cons

      Do you want to work for an organization with rampant nepotism and backstabbing politics? Then join this company, where management are clueless, managers and directors and even employees are manipulative, and most accept status quo. You can forget about promotions thru hard work. You will be promoted if you have the same ethnicity as the group VP or director. Engineering skills are not valued here. Half of the people who are here don't belong here.

      Pros

      Started out as a great project with lots of empowerment for US team Overall very solid product portfolio, good quality! Good automotive team

      Cons

      It is a Japanese company with all the downsides: - Controlled by slow to react paper pushers -- too sloooooow - Many issues lost in translation - Japanese employees speak really poor English Leader in the race to the (revenue and market share) bottom. Not in pricing but in revenue. Every time Renesas buys another company, the combined revenue is back to the level it was before within a couple of years, not the combined revenue. Once you are hired, do not expect any pay raise by default. Very static in terms of salary, does not follow market trends. You will most likely make below average money.
