Pros

Good crews to work with. Middle level mgmt (chief pilots, etc) seem to have a decent sized umbrella to cover themselves from the BS that surely falls from upper level mgmt. I can say that in my honest opinion, the chief pilots seem to genuinely care about the pilot group. That's it.

Cons

Absolutely horrendous upper mgmt and union. Disgustingly hypocritical CEO that LIES, LIES, LIES, and then LIES some more. Republic Airways takes advantage of the pilot skill set more than any other regional in the industry. 8 years of working under an EXPIRED CONTRACT. Mgmt drug their feet for 8 long years on negotiations, taking advantage of, and hiding behind the railway labor act, and only now in their (lack of pilots induced) panic, do they want to sign a contract with their pilots. Expect a minimum of four years before you upgrade due to Mgmt parking airplanes in order to help staff the place. Quit the industry before you come to work at this embarrassing excuse for an "airline"!!!!

Pros

Fellow employees are great to work with.

Cons

Zero positive praise, but are quick to call if ANYTHING is amiss. Tons of lip service, but no action on anything. Treat front line employees like idiots. Middle management is belittling and incapable of action. It seems like upper management must micro manage everything because everyone seems to work in fear. Break rooms are akin to something like a prison visitor room. Mold, stains, odors, second hand furniture - a great metaphor for the company itself.

Pros

Being one of the few based at home. Every 15 days I apply at other airlines to get out. My fiancé has even said she'll do my online masters degree for me if it helps me get hired at a major. My family might hate RAH more than I do.

Cons

The company doesn't share its future plans with their enployees. They also lie all to their employees to turn them against each other. The company lacks and all forms of transparency. Management dislikes most of the labor group. They are also paid less then our competitors. The company treats flight attendants poorly and would treat pilots worse if they didn't stand up for themselves. You don't get paid when a flight cancels. At current rate RAH is one of the most canceled airlines in the world. Bryan Bedford might be good at running a staffing company but he can't run his own brand of airline. The CEO also makes 200+% more than his competitors.
