Pros

Company has good organization and cares about employees. Also good benefits, retirement, etc. Positive work environment. Training for drivers and managers is excellent.

Cons

Company continues to cut back - not much room for career advancement. Also tends to price themselves out of market with customers.

Pros

ability to get to know all the businesses in your territory. This helped me on my search for my next job.

Cons

micro managing, scripted cold calling, extremely old computer systems (and computers), commission much lower than originally told in interviews, extremely high employee turnover.

Pros

You have a job.......I guess... well no its more like your a decently paid slave 6 days a week......sometimes 7. Not sure who they hate more their customers or employees.

Cons

Republic is currently going through the same idiocy Walmart did. It currently believes working over its employees is more important then working its business. It's current business plan is to over charge and under service their customers. If the customers leave (which they are in droves, whole cities even) Republic sues them. Republic professes that it cares about safety. It does not. Most of their trucks would not pass a decent D.O.T. inspection. A driver complains or refuses to drive it and he will have a write up before the end of the week. And the mandatory safety training required by the various gov. agencies? Here driver sign this meeting roster. No time for meetings or training. Look up Republics "Break Him Off" policy. Is still around in one form or another.
