Pros

Safety is a priority. They are the second largest next to Waste Management

Cons

Poor commission and bonus plans. Not designed to promote sales. Upper management is not trained in soft skills and does not know how to motivate employees, Company does not promote within. No upward mobility. It is a good ole boy style of running a company which is outdated and ineffective. Computer software is cumbersome and should be eliminated. Pressure from management to achieve un-realistic goals based off of hypothetical numbers. Service to customers is not as important as sales numbers. Very narrow outlook, they are only concerned with the here and now and because of it they find themselves reactive instead of proactive. Very poor process

Pros

Fortune 500 Company with great potential. Interesting business. A lot of dedicated, passionate people.

Cons

Many areas are very under-resourced. RS has gone thru several aquisitions and they are still operating as a small company. They need to invest in people to drive programs to improve areas of the business. They also need to invest in technology. Instead they just keep saying ok everyone work harder and harder.

Pros

Some good drivers to work with- most office staff very friendly. The cookouts- when they had them were good. The customers are understanding.

Cons

They stopped the cookouts after enough time as to let the anti-union meeting wear off. They think the drivers are uneducated and do not know how to stand up for themselves by using the system. They don't seem to understand that respect is earned- not given." They" is used to replace Managment- for they have no traits to support their title.
