Pros

The Reputation.com name is recognized because their ads play everywhere, so that's nice. They also have free lunch and will give you their base product for free, but the value prop of their product is unclear unless you're wealthy or being stalked by strangers

Cons

People who want their online past erased are not college students with drunken photos, they're finance people who were caught embezzling, doctors who committed malpractice, folks who committed sex crimes, etc. Working with them is extremely demoralizing and feels slimy. Their hours are extremely long and they recently lost a lawsuit for not paying sufficient overtime. The company is led by a Harvard-guy who really drinks his own Kool-Aid and has a matching haircut.

Pros

ReputationDefender has some terrific people, and some not-so-terrific people on staff. The people that know what they are doing, and are passionate about the work they do, make coming to work worthwhile. The company hosts lunch every other Friday, which is a nice perk, especially if you are on the payroll there and barely scraping by. The office space is kind of nice, if not a little sterile and a "made for TV" Internet startup space (i.e., converted warehouse space in an office park next to some train tracks in a dodgy part of town). Oh, they also have a basketball hoop.

Cons

Upper management does not care about or respect the people that are doing the work for them. All of the directors seem perfectly content to push ungodly amounts of work and ridiculous deadlines on their employees while the directors themselves jet around the world and hold half day business lunches with potential investors. Corporate culture is all top-down, with little or no say as to how things should and could be improved on any level. Directors are rude to managers, who in turn pass the buck along to the lower level employees. A culture of secrecy pervades, fear and intimidation are the order of the day.

A company with a great deal of promise but poor execution

Pros

Was a great work from home opportunity

Cons

Management didn't always seem to know what they were doing which led to confusion among staff. There were a number of miscues and poor execution which I believe led to the loss of a Major contract which in turn had dire consequences for my team.
