Pros

If you are motivated to do big things ResMed will nurture you and won't get in your way. Company has a great culture...good benefits, PTO, cafeteria, gym. It's a fun place to work with nice happy hours, x-mas party, etc. People there seem much happier than other companies in San Diego (and I've worked at a couple of the biggest). The products are the best in the industry and help save lives.

Cons

There are a few newer VPs in the San Diego building as of the last couple of years...they have bigger egos than others had in the past. As a result I've recently seen a few people cut down in meetings. Overall though, most of management is very good. The disparity of work that people complete is disheartening. Some people work 12 hour days and eat at their desks, while others bs about sports all day, take long lunches and work out at the gym every day for hours...and then get promoted.

Pros

Good Benefits, Nice building with a lot of art (personal collection of Peter), Free Parking

Cons

No budget. Always no budget. Work work work work. In most cases, short term projects are overly ambitious instead of treating it realistically. Always expecting employee to know everything without training. Search for your own answers and how to while working on extremely high priority projects and supporting operations. Management is extremely demanding. No Life Balance. Management will show mercy but ignores reality of the demand of the business. It is not sustainable for people in the long run. People will burn out. Management are inexperienced in handling billion dollar company by exploiting people without consideration to how much work people are working on. People here work until their wits end. So many high priority projects. Management don't prioritize. Even if they do, they ask for everything all at once. If you complain, you will be treated as if it is your fault not knowing how to prioritize. If you just focus and put all your heart into the projects, you will be questioned for not knowing how to balance life. It's a dead-end situation. People are human and human cannot survive here forever. Cannot see growth.
