Good colleagues, but poor leadership and layoffs

Pros

I was hired by, and worked with some good and very talented people for a short time. They were mostly laid off in round one of the layoffs. After this round I’m not sure how they will keep the software running.

Cons

Laid off most of the remaining team because they have no vision and are incapable of hiring any competent technical or product leaders. Built a new platform we call WayRoo, it’s not being sold, not sure why they spent so much money on a product they do not market or sell.

Pros

Nice offices. Hybrid hours. Not asked to work weekends or super long hours.

Cons

There's tension between management and the dev team. Morale has been steadily declining. Salary increases were promised and never delivered on.

Poor Culture and Management and overall negative employment experience.

Pros

Large amount of money was dumped into the Office Space, making the building easy to navigate and aesthetically pleasant. Employees of the Company that are not in leadership roles are decent human beings.

Cons

Poor Allocation of Resources, Positions not actively being filled to keep teams at reasonable strength. You Will be Overworked and given numerous additional "hats" to wear outside of the scope of your job/compensation rate. Compensation is low, for the requests that you'll be dealing with, and opportunity for advancement is non existent. Management style is aggressively micromanaged and their practices are underhanded I was strung along in my position for 8 months promises that were made during the hiring process over a year ago were not kept.
