Pros

This is the first time I can say I love my job. Great team, a company doing something meaningful, and a role that's a great fit for me. Senior leadership works hard to constantly evaluate - and tweak - how we work as an organization. It's a very thoughtful company. Personal growth is encouraged, with plenty of responsibilities given to you if you ask for it. Driven, but not slaving away. Most people go home between 5:30-7pm; some do more work from home, but not expected. Great fit if lean towards being data-driven, debate-craving, and results-oriented. It's a meritocracy, without much ego.

Cons

Senior leadership are all male and either engineers or former consultants, so pretty typical tech startup demographic. Not necessarily a bad thing, but creates a specific culture. Main complaint is we don't do as much socially as a company. Occasional after-work events, but not everyone participates so feels lackluster.

Pros

Extremely competent engineering staff that strives to produce high quality software Customers, freelancers, and employees are all highly valued Very flexible in allowing remote employees Company is growing very steadily and organically with no ceiling in sight

Cons

As the company grows, Rev needs to continue to refine how it integrates its remote employees into the team at HQ.

Excellent midstage startup for engineers

Pros

As a midstage startup, everyone's work matters & everything ships. We're mature enough within the engineering organization to have high quality codebases and enough discipline to do things right. As we grow, rapidly, there's plenty of room to grow your own role. For remote engineers the company is committed to integrating remote and onsite work.

Cons

Rev is still learning how to onboard newer engineers, so don't expect a great training program. There's also typical startup-isms, such as few corporate policies being written down.
