Pros

Apparently the pay can be good but I’d never met anyone earning good money, I think they also brought in a commission cap. You also get a free Revolut card which is the same as any other card but metal so if you like that it’s a great benefit.

Cons

Horrible culture - I found people are quite standoffish and there is a feeling that people don’t bother to interact with new starters because so many get let go. I spoke to my manager about the culture and they said they liked it as it keeps people on their toes. Pay seems good on paper but I never met anyone actually earning the figures they claimed. First quarter I was over 200% of target and got about £300 in comms, in meetings you are told that as you work there longer you could make up to £200k a year but I doubt anyone does. It’s a good name to work for but the reality of it is it’s a terrible place to work. Benefits are pretty nonexistent, you get a free Revolut card which you could just pay £10 for and that’s about it. Fully outbound role means that you’re just cold calling constantly ( you start off with inbound leads but these quickly dry up). Trying to find companies that haven’t already been hammered with cold calls can be hard too as they have so many AE’s and only certain businesses will actually get you money towards your target. In summary save yourself some time and avoid - I only checked glassdoor after starting but the negative reviews are true, the positive reviews are because they ask new starters to do the reviews during the first week/ training period so people don’t have much to complain about/ experience there.

Pros

Good Salary , Unbiased management

Cons

Honestly, I was never at peace since day 1 of joining this company, since beginning we were told that if we wont perform, we would be terminated immediately. After joining, I got to know that Revolut is doing bulk hiring and firing. Every Monday, minimum 100 people were/are hired from India for support roles and everyday alot of them are terminated as well. Unfortunately, I was also one of them. First 20 days were training, where we were taught about their products and then a test was conducted for which there were 2 attempts. If you don't manage to clear the 2nd attempt also you will be terminated on an immediate basis. After the test, you will start working on real time chats, and will be given unachievable targets. The reason why I am saying unachievable is because it was for me. Not everyone has the same grasping power or learning pace. I was evaluated for around 28 working days and was asked to leave bcz i didn't meet my targets. I have honestly never heard of such a company who terminates on the results of around 28 working days. And I know, it has happened or its been happening to alot of other people as well specially we Indians, coz our labor laws aren't strict and they are getting cheap labor from India. Revolut pays higher salary than the rest of the companies, which is the only attracting factor for many to join. The interview is quite simple and easy to crack, but the worst is only after joining the company.

Hello! Thank you for your review! At Revolut, we're a fast-paced, rapidly growing company. We've achieved a lot in a short time, and this ambitious, dynamic environment can indeed present challenges. We firmly believe that clear performance expectations help us align on common objectives and provide targeted support where needed. Our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are a product of discussions and agreements between managers and employees, ensuring shared understanding. Additionally, it's worth noting that our KPIs are tailored to roles and specializations rather than specific countries. When setting goals, we are guided by our core values: Never Settle, Get it Done, and Deliver WOW. Staying true to these values over the past eight years has been instrumental in our journey to becoming a global financial superapp. We appreciate all that you've contributed during your time here, and we wish you the best in your next role. - Ryan Jun Hyung Park, Head of HR (APAC)

Pros

Pay is ok, but share options are an empty promise

Cons

If you are a woman, expect your voice pretty much ignored . In this place only the type of people who are loud, robotic, emotionless and machine-like will get what they want. Usually they are men. Don’t expect any team work. You are on your own. That is why this place is usually chaotic and no one knows what others are doing. If your core values are work life balance and growth via learning and development together with your team. Avoid! You will not be happy here. Expect people to put 9pm meeting invite on a Friday night or send you slack messages on Sunday asking you to so some work - senior management takes that for granted, they think you should be working 24/7 and they never thank you for that. Having been here less than a year I have already seen at least 5 colleagues getting mental problems due to stress. Think carefully before you join. The price of the ego of being in a cool company is huge.

Hi - we're very sorry to read these comments and as you're a current employee we hope we can discuss them face to face. First off - we value all our employees and we don't tolerate discrimination so I'm saddened if it doesn't feel like that to you. We don't have as many women as we'd like at senior levels yet but we're working to fix that and we try to make sure that women's voices are heard at every level of the organisation . Indeed two of our country CEOs and our head of global authorisations are women. If you don't feel your colleagues are modelling those values please do come and discuss it. You're also right about work/life balance. We listened to employees and we hope that the group wide flexible working policy and the two extra well-being days we added this year will help to make people's life easier. There can be occasions where people need to join meetings at unsocial times (especially where colleagues are spread across the time zones) but that shouldn't be the norm and teams need to respect people's personal lives and commitments . We're happy to reinforce that. Please reach out to HR or to me personally if you'd like to discuss or raise through the women's guild if you'd prefer an indirect approach.
