Pros

Good salary and remote working

Cons

Lot of young inexperienced people who don't know what they are doing. Unrealistic targets No work/Life balance (to meet the targets you will constantly have to work late) Highly stressed colleagues and people suffering from mental health issues If you are off-sick during the probation period Revolut won't provide you with any additional support to pass your probation so if you are sick you are out! Your manager wont support you to pass your probation, you wont be given any support to improve your performance so if you are falling behind for any reasons, they just terminate your contract without warnings at the end of the probation period!

Hi! Thank you for your review! We're sorry you're having such a poor experience with us. Revolut is known for its Never Settle and Get it Done values, which are two things that draw many people to the company, along with its fast-paced, innovative environment. We want to encourage people to thrive on these values, while also maintaining a healthy work/life balance, being aware of the signs of burnout, and looking after their own wellbeing. Our team is our most precious asset, and we never compromise on talent. We select, coach, and retain the top talent and give them all the support to achieve greatness. Our goals are discussed and agreed between line managers and employees, to make sure they’re exciting not only for the company, but for the Revoluter too. We believe that clear performance expectations help us all focus on the same priorities, and to direct teamwork effort where it's needed. We take all feedback seriously, and we're constantly working on making Revolut a great place to work. All the best!

Pros

Great work - Great opportunity to learn and work on interesting projects. Great pay - above market standard usually. Smart people - You get to work with some of the smartest minds in the world.

Cons

Culture - 1. Asking questions is not acceptable. It is expected that everyone should be a self-starter and asking questions means that you are not a self-starter. How is one supposed to figure things out and start by themselves if there are no resources to do so? 2. Every conversation is a confrontation. There is little to no sense of collaboration. 3. Unreasonable expectations. One employee is handed multiple projects to work on and deliver in a short time with the highest quality. On top of that, there are multiple meetings to provide status updates on each of these projects. Even if an employee were to work 24 hours a day, it wouldn't be enough. 4. New policies have made career growth in the company difficult. The company appreciates aggressive people and hustlers who cannot get burned out. 5. Trying to do too much at once. People are expected to work on too many things at once which compromises on the quality of the deliverable at times, which results in more unnecessary remediation/fixing work in the future. 6. Impatience. Almost everyone is impatient in the company and nobody has time to listen to people, which results in people cutting each other off in conversations.

Pros

Good technology Usually slightly above average pay

Cons

Truly the most shocking culture I have ever witnessed. I have 5 years experience and have worked globally across the world. Revolut offered me the job via Linkedin and I have worked there for 6 months. Managers are not trained and some rarely check in with their team. Additionally, you are given targets/kpis after probation that are so high there would be no way to meet them in 40 hour work week. If you do not meet the targets once in a quarter, you immediately are triggered into a PIP plan (without your consent) and I have seen 50% of my team leave or be forced to leave. They will not take into account the challenges set by them (changing goal posts, not having enough budget which means we cannot reach our targets.) The managers do not have your back, there is no focus on wellbeing. Taking a day off gives you anxiety because the targets are so high. I truly cannot comprehend how bad this culture is. I also read 50% of Revolut hires leave or are fired (by pip) within 6 months. It is purposely set up this way and it is truly immoral and shameful company.

Thanks for your review. We’re sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your experience with us. We have a great ambitions, but don't want those to be at the expense of our people. We believe that clear KPIs help ensure that we all understand our goals and how we'll get there but we know that they aren't the only indicator of your contribution. We admire people who live our values and support their colleagues in getting stuff done. We’re constantly looking to ensure that we support the people who enable us to create great products and support our customers. We’ve a fast paced culture so we appreciate that Revolut might not be the right place for everyone - but our people achieve a huge amount and have a lot of fun. Wish you best!
