Pros

-Management is personable regarding questions about tasks and important final decisions. -Facility is clean and spacious. -You can be serious about your role at the company but have moments of casual and friendly conversations with your colleagues and managers.

Cons

-Despite what they preach, management isn’t interested in helping "everyone" succeed; they subtly support "friends" or “favorites,” regardless of competence or effort despite putting on a friendly mask of integrity and claiming they offer everyone the same development opportunities. -Pay is dismal compared to other companies offering similar roles, while opportunities to move up or expand your knowledge base within the company are extremely limited. -Management prioritizes appearances, friendships, and politics over treating everyone as an equal, often in ways that are subtle but noticeable; this is a toxic way to run a company. -Employees who are tight-knit with each other often collaborate and prioritize trainings with one another while others are subtly excluded.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We're glad to hear you found management approachable and appreciated the facility environment. Regarding your concerns about equity and development opportunities, we want to clarify our commitment to inclusion. We've established Leadership Academy training, unconscious bias programs, formal mentorship, and regular talent reviews specifically to ensure all employees have equal access to growth opportunities. We also conduct regular compensation benchmarking to remain competitive in the market. We maintain clear expectations around accountability and performance across all teams. While we can't speak to individual circumstances, we encourage employees experiencing concerns to utilize our open-door policy, HR resources, and feedback channels so issues can be addressed in real time. We wish you well in your future endeavors.

Pros

This is just my personal take on the BioLegend QC department in response to the 07-Oct-25 review titled “Claim credit, blame others, spread rumors.” Overall, BioLegend is a solid place to get your start in the industry and learn the basics. Revvity as a whole is growing, just like a lot of other reviews have noted, and there are definitely plenty of opportunities for career development and mentorship across the company.

Cons

I agree that QC has held up a lot of development projects and even routine product releases. That’s not just my experience — PD project management data also shows QC as the main bottleneck. "Collaborate for success" means pushing back while giving thoughtful suggestions, but here it usually turns into long periods of silence and delays with no thoughtful input. On the flip side, QC leadership does try to make life easier for their team, sometimes a little inappropriate. Associates get 4/10 schedules and leads can work from home, while PD and Manufacturing stick to the conventional schedule. That mismatch causes constant issues with transfers, meetings, and training. I also agree that QC leadership is fearful and territorial. The department is also extremely top-heavy. Upper management is involved in the smallest decisions, and there are too many leads who don’t do lab testing, the core function of QC, and can’t make basic timeline calls without going up the chain. Because of how things are set up, QC associates end up with a bad reputation and very limited chances to make independent decisions or build problem-solving skills. People try to move into QC for better work-life balance, but then struggle to transfer out because of the department’s reputation. Honestly, QC is the way it is because someone higher up in BioLegend/Revvity has allowed it to stay that way. PD, MFG, and project management have all raised concerns about the inefficiency and the constant gossiping, just like the last review mentioned, but nothing has changed.
