Pros

Love my Regional Manager...now. Had a pretty terrible one previously which did have a negative impact but not enough to leave at the time. Much better situation now. Extremely flexible schedule. You can work smarter not harder as long as you're hitting your budget. Restaurant owners are hard to cold call because they get hit up ALOT but once you get in with them, they are a fun group of prospects and clients. The restaurant scene is always changing and evolving. its a dynamic industry which makes the research and hunting aspects of the job fun. Going out to eat is part of your job. Its fun to give restaurant owners the funding they need to grow and improve. I believe our marketing is good for most restaurants so I can sell it.

Cons

I was told I could make 6 figures within my first 3 years when I was hired. I've consistently been a top performer and I'm stuck at $75k after 5 years. New commission structure isn't helping much. Other cons are standard b2b sales challenges....cold calling can be really defeating some days, people you thought were gonna buy will blow you off, having a quota hanging over your head can be stressful, and obviously you gotta hear a lot of no's between every yes. Not really Rewards Network specific problems there just standard sales gripes.

Pros

I have worked at RN for almost 4 years. The job paid the bills for a couple of years and then we started to get a management team together that had a plan and a clear direction. Dan Kazan has been CEO for just over a year and he is just the person we needed for the icing on the cake. We started out using Java 5/6 and Spring 0.000001 to using the newer technologies (Java8, Scala and Play). We went from doing 3:00am Sunday morning deployments to pressing a button in Team City any time during work hours to get the deployment done. We automate and script any repetitious tasks. The team has access to safarionline books so if you need to learn something like AngularJs or read Code Complete again, you have a good resource. We have a hybrid agile process where we focus on getting things done (meaning deployed and being used). Adding new functionality is done as a team effort with QA, Development, BA, and Product teams all working together. If you struggle with a solution to a work problem, you can take a break with some Ping/Pong. We may order a new table because the one we have gets so much use. The dress code is relaxed business casual. I googled it, there is no such thing; shorts in the summer, anything that is comfortable. We have fun company events that involve food and drink. Prior to a couple of years ago I would not have recommended this company to a friend but that is no longer the case.

Cons

Any cons I had disappeared over the past couple of years.

Pros

Great Loyalty and Rewards programs. Overall a decent company to work for with helpful sales support and good pay. Benefits are pretty good as well.

Cons

Horrible "Cash Advance" Oh wait you cant call it that or it would be illegal.... Program Prepaid Meals and Dining program, Come on who are you fooling. Rates up to 200%. Pretty much 100% cold calling and no marketing efforts are extended to the sales teams.
