The most unusual company I've ever worked for
Pros
Lots of freedom and days off, immediate manager doesn't meddle in my business and there is virtually no accountability to senior management.
Cons
Promises made at hiring were not kept, Ricoh consistently hires from outside instead of within. There is no motivation to be better at your job. Pay is embarrassingly low, bosses are inattentive to issues and there is no room to grow within this company. They are not interested in ever hearing new ideas or suggestions to make it better. There is a MAJOR employee morale issue, bigger than upper management realizes, and it will be the downfall to this company. Equipment and tools (basically everything but your copiers) are so old you can't service them anymore. I have a piece of office equipment that is stamped 1985. You know a company is in trouble when they ask you to stop taking vacations before April because paying out vacation pay negatively affects their 4th quarter.
