Pros

If your willing to bash your way through the bulls#&t it's a great way to cement a few years of stable pay and good benefits.

Cons

Absolutely farce of a performance appraisal process, it would be easier and more cost efficient to just give pay rises where deserved, you gotta be in the boys club. Real talent generally gets unoticed (on purpose) and walks out the door a year later. Lots of acting opportunity if you like doing higher duties and responsibilities for no extra pay this is your company. Very reactive to incidents and safety. No transparency whatsoever.
