Pros

Work life balance - this is dependent on certain departments. Medical and health benefits. Emphasis on safety. Opportunities to move between different departments (internal transfers).

Cons

Restructuring cause a bit of confusion and dissatisfaction in terms of reporting line and responsibilities. Most are constrained to their own department, do not bother to find out how one task affects/implicates another.
