Pros

Boundless opportunity Access to capital + means to bring ambitions to reality Nascent company, lots to grow/change/impact Company has serious growth ambition Gamer stuff Free stuff Awesome stuff Lots of extremely talented people around

Cons

-Planning and arbitration are, as everyone mentions, an issue. Such is the life of a burgeoning billion dollar company. It's an opportunity for those who lead. It's disastrous for folks who cannot self-direct.

Pros

Incredible dedication to the player-focus mission, loads of industry talent and wisdom, jaw-dropping workplace and a genuinely fun place to work. For those who want to build skills as leaders and managers, ample opportunities to grow and expand. Incredible focus on the 'Rioter' experience at all levels.

Cons

Expectations are really, really high, and Rioters are expected to get moving pretty quickly and not be afraid to show their work and their capability. If you're not a genuinely hard-core gamer, you may want to consider working elsewhere. Gaming is the lingua franca in all things, and League is almost always the topic of the day. This isn't a start-up where staff are just expected to know the basics of their products. To thrive you've got to have a real love for League and the global community who loves it right back.

Pros

The most important part of any job is the people you work with. The legal department here has outstanding people. I also work with other teams at Riot and, by and large, the people are terrific, smart, and capable. The perks here are fabulous. I have lawyer friends who work at other game studios in Southern California and I'm quite certain I have it the best!

Cons

Rapid growth means that the support structure hasn't always caught up to the number of employees or scope of operations. But this is part of being at any exciting, high-growth company.
