Pros

Never bored: If you love to be challenged and thrive in a fast-paced environment, join Rippling. There are constantly new products and functionality being rolled out, so you're always learning about new tools and have more and more products you can sell. You also get the chance to work with lots of different personas - HR, IT, Finance, etc. It is easy for any sales job to start to feel monotonous after a while because it's the same pitch, same product, same persona, etc. This is not the case here. Amazing Product: This product is truly game-changing for companies. I have had countless comments along the lines of " This would save me so much time" or my favorite, "This is witchcraft". It's incredibly rewarding to know you are representing a product that helps people. People: I love the people I work with from my peers up to senior leadership. Career: Having Rippling on your resume will fast-track your career and open doors for your future. Showing that you are successful at selling such a robust product is hugely valuable to any future employer.

Cons

There are easier sales jobs out there! Come here if you enjoy a challenge and truly believe in our mission and product.

Pros

None - do yourself a favor and find another organization to begin your sales career. 80% of outbound SDRs do not hit quota at Rippling and you will be out of a job before you can even blink. Don't think the few positive posts you see on LinkedIn are representative of the entire org. It is extremely difficult to find success at Rippling and the majority of reps do not get promoted or leave within a year.

Cons

Parker is a visionary - but also an extremely cutthroat CEO. His values are very clear - he cares about growth and profits more than he will ever care about his employees. Sales leadership is currently hiring across for its main hubs in New York and Austin. I highly discourage anybody from relocating or moving for a position at Rippling. This org sets you up for failure and the chances of lasting a year or even getting promoted are extremely low. As an SDR you will never have any sense of job security. This is a "what have you done for me lately" role. You can hit quota one month and be fired the month after if you miss. The outbound SDR org was born less than a year ago due to the success of inbound SDRs capitalizing on Rippling's strategic marketing and branding. New leadership has been brought in to build this new outbound org, but it still has no idea as to what works well nor how to generate consistent pipeline. While this is understandable given the outbound org is so new, what isn't okay is the pressure leadership puts on reps to consistently hit an unattainable quota month to month given leadership itself has no idea what works. Rippling has become a churn and burn SDR organization. New reps will be fired within months of joining only to be immediately backfilled. You'll see many SDR Managers on LinkedIn posting that they are hiring. This isn't due to the tremendous success the sales org is having, this is due to the fact that the majority of the reps fail in the role and Rippling needs to continue backfilling to meet the ridiculous forecasting efforts leadership demands. It's blasphemous that Rippling is so careless with its financial resources on reps when it's proven to be so incredibly frugal/cheap on creating any sort of culture. Benefits are terrible, SPIFFS are laughable and the company will put on happy hours once a month that aren't even covered by Rippling.
