Pros

Rippling is growing fast, and being a multi-product startup, there's always a lot to do. And so it's good there is premium on action. You get what you are sold - you cannot not Run Hard. At the same time, there is opportunity to structure your work so you have time for life beyond work. For eg, it's rare to receive slacks or mails over weekend. And late night calls are a norm at every US based company. The product is not perfect, but changes are quick. Sometimes product tweaks are only a few slack messages away. That's refreshing. Management is young, but good to work with and keen to listen. The place is still quite small, and senior mgmt is quite accessible.

Cons

The current economic situation is creating uncertainty, and when combined with the pace of this company, the pace at which things change can be disconcerting for some. There is a culture of high accountability, and so it's important to always remain on top of one's game. This place is not for anybody looking for stability or perfect processes that one is merely implementing. This place is for people who want to roll up their sleeves and build the process.

Pros

* Impact - Company allows you to really take ownership and control on things and allow you to work on things that directly make an impact to the success of the company * Fast paced - This could be a pro or a con depending on your background but if you love a fast paced environment that has a collective culture of hustle than this is the place for you. A mid sized company with small pods built like start ups. - If you are used to relaxing casual work I would say be prepared to be challenged and to be surrounded by people with intimidating yet inspiring drive to make some really amazing stuff. * Company Growth - Ton of long term potential and everyone truly believes in the company * Personal Growth - A lot of opportunity for upward growth as new projects roll out

Cons

* WLB - Hours can be long especially during crunch -The company has the hustle culture so working late is not uncommon across the teams. Management is very understanding of the burnout so there is a ton of support but you have to be someone that doesn't default to working all day since its very easy to do that. Part of the WLB is on the employee themselves to keep those boundaries. * Requirements - With a fast paced environment it can be frustrating to work on projects that are in the beginning stages where work is expected to be started but project requirements are still being developed - This is also a pro in the sense that this company allows engineers to really have an opportunity to help form and understand business requirements. There is not a strict separation between product and engineering (this could be a con if you like the separation)
