Pros

Salary is above market in CA

Cons

Rippling does a good job of keeping their public rating above 3 by spamming 5 star propaganda about how “it’s not for everyone, we work hard play hard”. I believed it when interviewing, and it’s why I joined. But if you are considering Rippling and reading this, I sincerely urge you to consider what that really means between the lines. My mental health is really suffering. I’m anxious all the time and wake in the night. There is no accountability or clear expectations set but no amount of work effort or hours in is ever enough. Accountability for decisions is non-existent, made especially so with the latest C Suite departures (I would guess because of how taxing mentally it must be). There is a pervasive culture of fear driven by blame and throwing other teams under the bus. The only feedback that matters is what comes from Parker and so weeks or months of work may be wiped in an instant based on off the cuff feedback. Anyone along the way who helped get to the unfavored direction is immediately blamed and expected to fix with near instant turnaround. The US/India daytime overlap, which is really product/eng team overlap is upside down. Which results in 2am meetings for India, or 10pm meetings for USA. This promotes further division and almost completely eliminates any sense of team building or dialogue. Managers are expected to be ICs. Often stepping in as Product Managers as well which creates tremendous conflicts with real IC ownership. Not to mention completely unsustainable to do two jobs. It’s a burnout factory. Unapologetically so. With the worst benefits of any company I’ve ever been at and it’s an HR company! Please consider what you’re getting into. I regret it so much. Thankful for a job, so sad it has to be here.

Pros

-Product is actually pretty great and pay is reasonably competitive. -True remote work for all markets where they do not have an office.

Cons

-No work life balance. You're expected to grind until you have nothing left because this is the culture the CEO has created and a lifestyle he lives himself. -Terrible benefits - you're given the basics and that's about it. -In company or department wide meetings, you'll be talked at like you're an idiot by people who can barely keep a coherent train of thought. -Middle management is promoted from within but not trained well. You'll be gaslit to thinking that the efforts you're putting in (despite following their instructions closely) are not enough. -There are no performance improvement plans put into place

Pros

This marks my fifth stint in the professional world, and I can honestly attest that the culture at Rippling is unlike anything I've encountered in my previous jobs or even heard of. It's so unique that my friends are even envious of the numerous perks I enjoy. My time here has been thoroughly enjoyable, and it seemed to pass by in the blink of an eye. I'm writing this comprehensive review, aiming to assist anyone unsure about joining Rippling, especially if they lack the chance to speak with current employees. Here are some highlights of what I appreciated during my tenure, specifically for the Sales Development Representative (SDR) team: 1. We're rocking the latest MacBook Pros because the CEO believes in equipping its employees with top-notch tools. 2. The flexibility of Unlimited Paid Time Off, coupled with three days a week in the office and the freedom to work from anywhere for four weeks, showcases Rippling's commitment to a balanced work-life dynamic. 3. Free rides in office cabs for SDRs and night shift people. As a Rippler, you enjoy complimentary evening snacks, a wholesome buffet dinner, and late-night treats. The dry pantry is always stocked with cold drinks, Red Bull, fruit juices, milkshakes, cookies, cakes, chips, dry fruits, and more. No one ever questions how much you take, lol :P 4. Over 80% of SDRs consistently meet their monthly quotas, with exciting multipliers for exceeding targets. Making commissions here is a breeze. 5. There's no pressure to be online around the clock, and I've never experienced micromanagement in my two years here, as long as you're committed to your work. 6. Rippling values providing time off for relaxation and rejuvenation. SDR managers are consistently kind and supportive, especially when you need to work from home on an office day due to illness or personal commitments. 7. Unlike other organizations, there's no screaming, abuse, or taunting if you fall short of targets. They collaborate with you to ensure your success, reflecting their commitment to everyone thriving in their roles. Although hitting targets is a breeze here due to the exceptional product that practically sells itself and enjoys a stellar reputation in the market. 8. The work culture is undoubtedly the best, with quarterly outings featuring a generous budget. In summary, my experience at Rippling has been exceptional, marked by top-notch facilities, a supportive work environment, and a genuine concern for employee well-being.

Cons

I wouldn't say there are no cons because we're not living in an ideal world and it is a startup. However, I can assure you that the management and the managers always listen to the employees, ensuring that everyone is happy working at Rippling, and our here to make us succeed in the role.
