Pros

Salary, decent product, can maybe reach ipo in the future

Cons

Poor benefits, horrible work life balance, product has major problems and management wants to instead invest in new SKUs.

Pros

* Fair compensation * Some teams are better than others

Cons

Oh boy. The main issue is that any processes that teams try to build get sabotaged by upper management, that decides to escalate an unplanned feature out of nowhere. That feature is being rushed, and CEO asks "are we there yet" every day putting so much pressure that teams just give up on any and all code quality. This inadvertently breaks other things, which makes CEO angry, and now team is under fire for breaking things and is rushed to fix them ASAP. The cycle described above repeats itself every sprint. Some teams are literally trying to finish their Q2 tasks in Q4 because of constant injection of work out of nowhere. Then the code quality. Jesus christ. With the process described above you can probably imagine what tangled mess this all produces. And then every initiative to refactor and fix it is killed in it's infancy because, again, out of nowhere you get a P0 priority feature that clients apparently need yesterday. Literally any technology gets approved, because when a team comes to you with a "CEO needs this feature yesterday, for it we need to use XXX, do you approve?" - the answer is always yes, because there's no time to even think about investigating anything else. Anyway, if you are one of those people that "strive in a chaotic environment" - this place is for you. You will get complete chaos everywhere every day.

Pros

- Product centric company which everyone is passionate about because the product actually works - There is an exciting force to Rippling's pace and way of operating - If you're someone who is driven, excited by new career challenges, wants to win and expedite their career, Rippling can be an amazing place - The people who are a good fit for Rippling and want to be there really do care about building something big - that feeling is contagious and rare to find amongst companies today

Cons

- The hours are long but it feels like everyone is in it together - This is not just a 9 to 5 job but if you're excited to grow your career this is the perfect opportunity to do so . You do need to be intentional about setting boundaries and need to know when to push/pull so you can do your work but also take care of you. - Rippling isn't like a Google or Facebook - Everyone is invited to pitch in and help build the company. Things aren't just laid out perfectly for everyone - Some folks might get a shock compared to other places they have worked out - they probably aren't the right fit for Rippling if they aren't excited to build.
