Pros

Good pay. Room for advancement. Lots of locations. High turnover in store level management so if you want your own store you can get it pretty easily.

Cons

Varies greatly from store to store. Union hourly employees in my area. Hard to work with payroll. District management is lacking sometimes. Working at a drugstore the pharmacy is all that matters and the front end gets crapped on. If the pharmacy wants one of the front end employees they get them. When employees complain about the pharmacy you tell them I'll talk them thembut in reality you have no authority to do anything about the pharmacy.

Pros

I personally have an excellent manager and boss, but that can vary from store to store. 20% discounts on everything except sales items, liquor and cigarettes.

Cons

No bonuses, limited incentives that are overall end up being lame. Current contest awards $500 (split up between all employees at the store) for signing people up for a discount card. Small raises (under 50 cents) per year for pharmacy techs.
