Pros

High standards for staff and creation of guest engagement. They empower you to create experiences for people. Good benefits, decent pay.

Cons

Hard to get a promotion. Personality tests taken can be a hinderance on career advancement as long as they are in the system. Overly bureaucratic and there were frequently meetings about meetings. Can get tedious. Poor work life balance as well. Long hours, long weeks and sometimes a lack of staff to handle everything.

Pros

The only pro I could think of is the free lunches.

Cons

Marriott does not care about their employees, they only care about making money. No employee retention, no work-life balance, they just want you to be available 24/7 but don't pay nearly enough for it. The worst part is the leadership, NO ONE in the leader position has ANY idea of how to be a true leader and care about their teams as much as production, again they only think about how much the company is making.
