Great Place to work

Pros

Management had your back 99% of the time. They really do care about their employees. At the yard level it's like being part of a big dysfunctional family. That's a good thing, it breeds a sense of care for what everyone's doing. Great pay.

Cons

It's obviously a big corporation that's driven on numbers, so there are still big time decisions that are made to appease share holders in the parent company. But you'll get that on the big jobs.

Pros

Decent pay and benefits, defined contribution to retirement in addition to 401k match, uniforms provided, family environment, overtime.

Cons

Training materials are non-existent. Outdoor work can be hard in extreme weather.

Pros

Management is friendly, learn a lot of trades, feed you at least once a month, and big on safety.

Cons

Low pay, no over time if you work in a smaller yard, with hours being cut during winter hours. Also being watched by the cameras all the time and being treated like were kids. And the customers that come in are so high they fall asleep on you while you talk to them and steal just to get there high for the day.
