Compensation was higher than the market average.

Cons

Dysfunctional. Lack of transparency of companies performance and goals. A lot of rude and incompetent coworkers.

Very mixed feelings about Riverbed

Pros

Location - most networking companies are based in Silicon Valley, so it's a good option if you're sick of commuting and live in the city or east/north bay.

Cons

I've worked at a number of high tech companies and never had first hand experience with tech being sexist/a boy's club - after working at Riverbed, I get it.

Work-life balance is good here

Cons

The company seems to be going in the wrong direction. A lot of great employees already left. Pay is not competitive. Employees are not given room to grow professionally.
