You are not a recruiter, you’re a salesman. It’s not about placing the right candidate with the right employer. It’s literally about placing ANY possible person in whatever roles come your way. The interview was completely deceiving making it seem like you’ll double your salary easy by ‘having conversations’ but this is NOT the case. You NEED to be working around the clock to even make bonus, at least for the first 1 year minimum. Sure you get what you put in, give your whole life and all your time and yes you’ll make 100k. If that’s what you’re looking for, go for it otherwise I would stay far far away.
