      Pros

      Location. Easy commute from everywhere.

      Cons

      Lab culture varies. It's totally up to the PI and you have no one else to turn to if you are in a toxic environment. And the salary for entry level is getting lower and lower comparing to what you need to survive in New York. It feels they just want to hire young new grads and replace them after few years so they can offer even lower salary. Not really a place for long-term growth.
