      Nice place for benefits, but absolute no room for advancement. You start and end with the same title.

      Pros

      Beautiful campus. Overall friendly atmosphere. Relaxed environment. Child friendly work community. Fairly flexible about working hours. Nice place to be if you want to do research or be surrounded by esteemed science pioneers.

      Cons

      Absolute no career advancement. No pay scale or salary grades. Salary is not commensurate with experience. Yearly raises are minimal as they don't even do employee review. Hard for promotion opportunities within the science community. You essentially start with a title, and leave with the same one. Salary is not competitive to surrounding community.

      Cutting edge science at the heart of NYC. Lot's of exposure to great Research.

      Cons

      It's still academia and if you want to do something else with your life it's a high stress environment and still little money.
